The above meeting is the climax of many previous meetings with various parties in Bintulu on the land issues at Jepak. This is the first time the resolutions and declaration by the interested groups reached the Premier's table in Kuching. The meeting took about an hour and many matters were raised directly to the attention of the Premier. There was a WOW factor felt as we leave his office mainly due to his committment to solve the issues raised with the Land and Survey Department and many other positive vibes gathered during the discussion. The Premier is sympathetic with the plight and predicament of the people of Jepak specifically and masyarakat Vaie generally.
As a project that has taken more than ten years of development, I can say that it is the culmination of many strengths. Firstly, the project has to be sustainable before any further commitment can be poured into its further investment in terms of time, efforts, funds and future planning. To this end I can safely say that this has been achieved as I have managed to stay on with the project and passionate about it despite having to juggle time, money and efforts on daily basis to care for the place till presently.
One thing that I have done in Kuching on this trip is to create a new blog called “Kambatik Ecopreneurship”. With some major success being achieved, I can now look back at many aspects of its development. These include philosophy, vision, planning, economic viability, marketing and aesthetics. This latest blog will document in pictures and writing the story behind the nature park that can act as a ready source for future reference.
My strengths in photography, writing, planning, dedication towards work, passion for plants, art and life-long learning have contributed tremendously to realise this dream project. The Kambatik Park is my pinnacle of passions.
Journal: 17 March,2023.
I have launched a new blog called "Kambatik Ecopreneurship" on 10th March,2023 while on this Kuching March Escapade'23. I feel it timely to compile all my thoughts on the subject of ecopreneurship as practised at the Kambatik Park, Bintulu.
This blog will contain related writings and scholarly artticles about entrepereneurship especially ecopreneurship.
In the blog I have added a link list of other "Related Kambatik Blogs" that is a ready source of knowledge on the various aspects related to the world of Kambatik.
The url of the new blog is here...>>>https://ecoprepkambatik.blogspot.com/
I have this peculiar habit of recording my travels in books I bought locally or when I'm overseas. As a record of my travels I would normally buy a book and would write down the purpose of the travel, place and my signature on it at the front pages of the book. So far what I have recorded in my blog is only a tip of the iceberg of books I have in my library. You really need some time to take pictures of the books before posting it in the blog.
Anyway the blog entitled "Books and Places " now have 12,825 pageviews sincei 2010.
In another blog entitled "my ACADEMIA", I share some of my academic work. Started in 2020 the blog has 458 pageviews as at 30 Dec'21. My planning is to share more of my articles and write-up in 2022.
Total views of the two blogs above (w.e.f. 30 Dec'21) = 13,283 pageviews.

There are two things that I love about orchids, the need to speak to them and the need to know them better. Only when you are able to speak to them can you get good photographs. To know them by name is to be obsessed by them. So for those weak at heart, remember not to be unduly obsessed , because once you start to love them there's no ending. It's gonna be a lifetime affair. Its a fair warning okay.
In this blog dedicated to orchids, I let the orchids and photos speak and I hardly write about them.
As at today, the total pageviews = 126,781 views.

Travelling around Sarawak with cats has been my love for many years. I wrote stories about my cats adventures in a special blog named " Hav Paws Will Travell", which came out in three editions. The heroine is 'Daisy' which accompanied us in our travels for about 9 years. By the time she retired from travelling , she recorded a total of 64,200 km which is one and a half turn round the globe. She was later joined by "Inul" and a few others.
Besides cats, I also blog on birds that I watched and photographed in places we visited or stayed along the way.
As at 25 Dec'21, the pageviews of the blogs are as follows:
# Hav Paws will travell (1st Ed) = 16,148 pageviews
# Hav Paws will travell (2nd Ed) = 7,472 pageviews

I have been writing many stories about gardening and landscaping involving a good period of about 36 years of my life, so far.
The gardening and landscaping stories are captured in two blogs , mainly my Gardening projects and my Landscaping story. The blogs record the kind of projects I did while I was a government servant and later leaving the service to carry on doing similar projects but in a different capacity viz as a contractor.
As a contractor I did many projects for corporate entities and private homes around Bintulu. In the blogs I write about my gardening/landscaping philosophy which revolves around the making of the Malaysian garden.
As at 24 Dec'21, the pageviews of the the two blogs are indicated below:
# my Gardening projects = 34,923 page views.
# my Landscaping story = 3,986 page views.
Total pageviews = 38,909 pageviews.
